Redaction Templates

Rectangle Redactions
The Rectangular redaction tool allows you to draw a box around a piece of information and RapidRedact will place a redaction over that area. It is also possible to: • move or delete redactions • change the size of redactions • change the color of redactions							rectangle redactions
Automated Search Term Redaction
The RapidRedact Search Terms window is used to specify the words you want RapidRedact to find and redact automatically. The user is able to add a list of words & terms to the search terms list, these are then stored for later use. RapidRedact can also perform automated redactions, such as redacting Social Security Numbers (SSN) and bracketed text.							search term redaction
Scribble Redactions
The Scribble tool allows you to perform "freehand" redactions. The Scribble Redaction tool creates freehand markings over the redacted area - just like scribbling on a piece of paper with a pencil.							scribble redactions
Text and Picture Stamps
The Stamp tool allows you to place stamp annotations on your redacted document. Stamps can be created in the form of text or graphics, as meets your need. Exemption Codes
Exemption codes indicate the reasons for redacting portions of the document. These might be statutory requirements, such as Freedom of Information Act clauses, or business policy. Rapid Redact includes predefined exemption codes listing relevant clauses from the UK Freedom of Information Act 2000. Adobe Acrobat 8 & Microsoft Office 2007 Integration New Feature V1.6
RapidRedact can now be easily integrated with Adobe Acrobat 8 and Microsoft Office 2007. The Application Integration Manager checks the user's machine for RapidRedact compatible programs that are installed. RapidRedact then offers the option of integrating with them via the insertion of the RapidRedact button into the application toolbar. This added functionality makes it easy to send files for redaction from within the users editing program by the use of the RapidRedact button available from the application toolbar.							integration manager
Working Copy
RapidRedact creates an interim working copy in an .rxf format that is unique to RapidRedact. The working copy to which redactions can be added, altered and deleted can be sent to others for reviewing purposes. The working copy can only be opened using RapidRedact.							working copy
Password Protected PDF Files New Feature V1.6
When password protected PDF documents are selected for redaction the user will now get a dialog box in which to enter the password for the selected PDF document.							enter password
Page Numbering New Feature V1.6
RapidRedact can now apply page numbering (as specified in the RapidRedact Page Number Settings), to each redaction job. Page numbering can be restarted for every document, or ?Bates? numbering (continuous) can be used to continue numbering from one document to the next.							page numbering
